Windhoist vehicle in Alderton
On Sunday 6th May at around 8.15 pm a number of local residents noticed a vehicle belonging to the company Windhoist in Alderton. This company undertakes specialist installation of wind turbines on behalf of a number of companies including Gamesa. We do not yet know what the vehicle was doing but we are concerned that Gamesa have not yet submitted a formal planning application but wind turbine contractors are already visible in the area.
TAG Launches Blimp - February 2012
On Sunday 19th February TAG launched a 'blimp' close to the possible site of the wind farm near Alderton. The blimp was flown at the same height as the turbine blades to give people a clear impression of how vast the turbines would be in the valley.
Further flights of the blimp have been made near Shutlanger and Towcester racecourse over the weekend of 24th-25th February.
