Tove Action Group (TAG) is campaigning against the destruction of the Tove Valley's environment. We strongly oppose Gamesa's proposal to build industrial wind turbines on our doorstep and we need your support to fight the application

Spring Ridge Farm Inquiry Opens

Spring Ridge Farm is the site for a proposed wind farm development in nearby Helmdon, Stuchbury and Greatworth. The proposal was turned down by South Northants Council but appealed by the developer Broadview Energy.  The public inquiry opens 15th May, with a decision expected by mid-July.

Windhoist vehicle in Alderton

On Sunday 6th May at around 8.15 pm a number of local residents noticed a vehicle belonging to the company Windhoist in Alderton.  This company undertakes specialist installation of wind turbines on behalf of a number of companies including Gamesa.  We do not yet know what the vehicle was doing but we are concerned that Gamesa have not yet submitted a formal planning application but wind turbine contractors are already visible in the area.

 

TAG Launches Blimp - February 2012

On Sunday 19th February TAG launched a 'blimp' close to the possible site of the wind farm near Alderton. The blimp was flown at the same height as the turbine blades to give people a clear impression of how vast the turbines would be in the valley.

Further flights of the blimp have been made near Shutlanger and Towcester racecourse over the weekend of 24th-25th February.
